The tumour microenvironment presents a major therapeutic barrier, from impaired delivery of chemotherapeutics through to metabolising and inactivating drugs that do arrive there.  

 

We aim to understand the contribution and mechanisms by which stromal populations interefere with effective treatment.

 

Collaborating with engineers we are developing novel platforms to specifically target stromal cells of the tumour microenvironment.
